As Vice President of Regional Operations, John Werner has been a driving force behind the success of IES Electrical in key markets since 1999.

He plays a pivotal role in defining IES’s strategic direction, identifying opportunities for regional expansion, and optimizing operational processes to enhance business performance.

Werner began his career at IES as a General Manager and advanced through various leadership roles, including Southeast Operations Director, Vice President of Construction, and Senior Project Manager. He served as IES President from 2016 to 2021, demonstrating exceptional leadership and vision. With over 25 years at IES, his expertise is rooted in a strong foundation, including a four-year Virginia State Apprenticeship and formal education in Electrical Engineering/Technology and PLC Programming from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.

Currently, Werner leads IES Electrical’s EAST divisions, overseeing operations in Virginia, South Carolina, and Mission Critical branches. His dedication to operational excellence and strategic growth continues to strengthen IES’s position as a leader in the electrical contracting industry.
