As Vice President & General Manager of Shanahan Mechanical & Electrical (SME), Nathan Tate oversees the successful execution of complex projects and delivers innovative electrical and mechanical solutions across the U.S. Central and Midwest regions.

With over 20 years of progressive experience in business development within mechanical, electrical, and commercial construction markets, Tate has played a key role in expanding IES Electrical’s market reach and capabilities.

Before joining SME in 2019, Tate held various positions at Kiewit Building Group, where he was instrumental in defining project scopes and ensuring successful project completions. His expertise and leadership have been pivotal in driving growth and operational excellence at SME. Tate holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, further solidifying his strong foundation in engineering and construction management.
